Reality television personality Brandi Glanville has publicly disclosed a series of severe medical diagnoses, marking a significant update in her long-standing struggle with unexplained health issues. The 53-year-old, known for her appearance on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, shared on Instagram that she is currently preparing for surgery to address several complex conditions.
Glanville confirmed that she has been diagnosed with resistant strains of ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter, along with Coccidioidomycosis—commonly known as Valley Fever—Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. According to the National Library of Medicine, the bacteria strains Glanville identified are known to produce biofilm, which often complicates standard treatment protocols. The CDC notes that Valley Fever is a fungal infection typically contracted from soil in specific regions of the United States.
The upcoming surgical procedure is intended to remove a fungal ball from her face and extract metals from previous dental work and breast implants. Glanville stated that she anticipates a recovery period spanning four to six months, during which she will require daily intravenous infusions. She estimated that the ongoing medical costs for this care range between $3,300 and $6,000 per month, noting the significant financial and physical toll the situation has taken on her ability to maintain a regular work schedule outside of her podcast.
Glanville had previously speculated that her symptoms were related to a parasite or high-stress levels associated with her career in reality television. In 2024, she reported that medical testing had identified a benign tumor in her face, providing the first concrete lead in what she described as months of diagnostic uncertainty. Glanville emphasized that she is sharing her journey to advocate for her health and to provide transparency regarding the visible changes she has faced.
