Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have identified FC Utrecht winger Adrian Blake as a primary transfer target this summer. According to reports from Sky Sports, the Parkhead club is monitoring the 20-year-old following his impressive performances in both the Eredivisie and European competition.
Blake, a former Watford academy graduate, is valued at approximately £2.5 million by the Dutch side, with only one year remaining on his current contract. The winger gained significant attention from the Celtic coaching staff after scoring a spectacular 30-yard goal against them during a Europa League encounter in January.
While Celtic are keen to bolster their attacking options for their upcoming title defense and Champions League campaign, they face stiff competition for the England youth international’s signature. Both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are reportedly tracking the player, who has recorded nine goals and five assists in 63 appearances for Utrecht. Known for his ability to play on either flank and his skill in cutting inside, Blake is viewed as a versatile addition to any side, though Celtic have yet to lodge a formal bid.
