Hugh Jackman’s latest project, The Death of Robin Hood, has officially entered the domestic box office top 10, securing the ninth position in its opening weekend. According to data from Box Office Mojo, the A24 drama earned $2.6 million during its initial release.
The film’s debut was overshadowed by the massive performance of Toy Story 5, which dominated the weekend with a $160 million opening. Variety reports that the animated feature now holds the record for the biggest domestic debut of the year, surpassing the previous record set by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ($131.7 million). This also marks the highest opening for any film within the Toy Story franchise, exceeding the $120 million debut of Toy Story 4.
Elsewhere in the top 10, Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day dropped to second place with $17 million, representing a decline of over 60% from its opening week. The horror film Obsession followed in third place with $14.2 million, while the supernatural horror film Leviticus rounded out the new entries alongside Jackman’s drama.
