The Seoul Western District Court has sentenced a Brazilian national to one year in prison, suspended for two years, following a series of stalking and trespassing incidents targeting BTS member Jungkook. According to Sportschosun, the defendant, identified as ‘A’, was indicted for 22 instances of visiting the artist’s residence in Seoul’s Yongsan District between December 7 and December 28, 2025.

Court records detail that the defendant engaged in persistent behavior, including ringing the artist’s doorbell 133 times on a single occasion and entering the interior of the home through a side gate on December 13. Despite being arrested and released with a police warning, the individual continued to approach the residence, leading authorities to issue an emergency protective order on December 28, which prohibited the defendant from coming within 100 meters of the property.

The court noted that the defendant violated this order in January 2026 by returning to the area to leave printed materials. While Judge Park Ji-won acknowledged the victim’s request for strict punishment, the court considered mitigating factors, such as the defendant’s lack of intent to cause physical harm and the fact that she had already served approximately three months in detention. The court indicated that the defendant is expected to face deportation following the finalization of the sentence.
