Podcast host and media personality Joe Budden has announced his engagement to his partner of seven years, entrepreneur Shadée Monique. The announcement, which took place during a weekend celebration, also revealed that the couple is expecting a baby girl together.
According to social media posts shared by Monique, the proposal occurred on August 30, 2026, during an event she believed was intended to celebrate Budden’s 46th birthday and her mother’s birthday. Budden, 45, surprised guests and Monique by proposing during the gathering. In return, Monique revealed the pregnancy, noting that the baby is expected in December.
Budden and Monique have been in a relationship since 2019, frequently featuring their life together on social media and their joint podcast, “Pod Wives.” This will be Budden’s first child with Monique. The media personality is already a father to two sons from previous relationships: Joseph “Trey” Budden III and Lexington.
