Liverpool FC has officially commenced its pre-season preparations for the 2026-27 season. According to an official update from the club, players have returned to the AXA Training Centre this week to begin intensive training sessions under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

The club released a photo gallery on Thursday documenting the latest session, featuring the squad’s initial fitness and tactical work. The sessions mark the beginning of Iraola’s tenure as he looks to integrate his philosophy ahead of the upcoming campaign. In addition to the men’s team, Liverpool FC Women have also officially kicked off their pre-season preparations at Melwood.

The club has also confirmed recent personnel developments, including the signing of Spain international forward Victor Munoz, whom Iraola described as a “very hungry and ambitious” talent. Additionally, young prospect Oliver O’Connor has signed his first professional contract with the club.
