Franchise Expansion at San Diego Comic-Con
Prime Video has officially expanded its hit action franchise, unveiling the first trailer for Reacher Season 4 and a debut teaser for its highly anticipated spinoff series, Neagley. The announcements were made on July 25, 2026, during a packed panel at San Diego Comic-Con, signaling a strategic shift toward a multi-show shared universe for the platform.
Season 4 of Reacher is set to premiere on August 12, 2026, with an initial drop of three episodes. Following the premiere, the series will transition to a weekly release schedule, culminating in the season finale on September 16, 2026. In a move designed to maximize viewer engagement, the Neagley spinoff will launch its full eight-episode season on the very same day as the Reacher finale.
Adapting ‘Gone Tomorrow’ and Looking Ahead
The upcoming fourth season of Reacher adapts Lee Child’s 13th novel, Gone Tomorrow. The plot follows Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) after a chance encounter on a subway turns into a high-stakes conspiracy involving powerful adversaries. The production, helmed by showrunner Nick Santora, features a refreshed cast including Sydelle Noel, Chris Marquette, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, and Kathleen Robertson.
Beyond the immediate release, the franchise’s future appears secure. During the Comic-Con panel, Alan Ritchson confirmed that Reacher has been renewed for a fifth season, which will adapt Lee Child’s 20th novel, Make Me. This early renewal underscores the series’ status as a cornerstone of Prime Video’s original programming catalog.
The Neagley Spinoff and Literary Crossover
The Neagley series, starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, shifts the focus to the former military protégé of Reacher. Set in Chicago, the story follows her investigation into the suspicious death of a close friend. The series aims to leverage the established lore of the 110th Special Investigations Unit, bridging the gap between Reacher’s solo adventures and the broader world he inhabits.
In a unique cross-media development, Maria Sten revealed that author Lee Child is collaborating with writer Yasmin Angoe on a new novel titled Zero Margin. This book, which will center on the Neagley character, is scheduled for publication in March 2027, further cementing the franchise’s presence in both streaming and literary markets.
