High Demand for Limerick Performances
English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams has officially added a second date to his 2027 touring schedule at Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick, Ireland. The move comes shortly after tickets for his initial performance on July 6, 2027, sold out following their general release on July 24, 2026.
The newly scheduled performance will take place on July 7, 2027. These two dates are confirmed as the artist’s only Irish performances for the year. The concerts mark a significant return to the region for Williams, following his headline appearance at Dublin’s Croke Park last summer.
Venue Significance and Logistics
Thomond Park, which typically hosts rugby matches, has a concert capacity exceeding 25,000. While this is smaller than the 82,300-capacity Croke Park, the venue is expected to provide a more intimate stadium setting for his Irish fans. According to reports, ticket pricing for the Limerick shows includes tiers at €91.25, €126.95, and €252, with an additional 12.5 per cent service charge applied to standard tickets and 5.25 per cent on the highest-priced tier.
Fans were able to access a MyMCD presale starting July 22, 2026, ahead of the general sale. Despite the sell-out of the first date, organizers have indicated that tickets remain available for both July 6 and 7, including various resale options.
Tour Context and Recent Success
The 2027 Irish dates follow a busy period for the artist. Williams is currently engaged in his ‘BRITPOP’ World Tour, which includes extensive legs through Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. His latest studio album, ‘BRITPOP’, released in January 2026, earned him his 16th UK Number One album, setting a record for the most chart-topping albums by a solo artist in the UK.
Beyond his touring commitments, Williams has maintained a high public profile, recently performing the official FIFA anthem ‘Desire’—a collaboration with Laura Pausini—at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony. Following his Limerick performances, the artist is scheduled to appear at the Lytham Festival in Lancashire on July 3, 2027.
