A Secret Summer Ceremony in the Cayman Islands
Reality television personality Savannah Chrisley has confirmed that she and businessman Jason Galanis secretly married during a private ceremony in the Cayman Islands in July, according to an interview published on November 1. Speaking on the premiere episode of E! Online, the 29-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alum revealed that the couple deliberately chose to keep the union off local government records to preserve their privacy.
"We ended up getting married in the Cayman Islands in July," Chrisley stated during her appearance on Golden Tate’s The Golden Ticket YouTube series. "We did everything there, but we haven’t filed it here—or else then it would be public record."
The marriage disclosure follows a series of major personal announcements from Chrisley over the past month. In late October, she publicly shared that she is expecting her first child with Galanis, posting an intimate tribute on Instagram that described him as her protector and safe place. Just days after the pregnancy announcement, Chrisley debuted her growing baby bump at the Mar-a-Lago Club annual Halloween party, where she wore an elaborate, custom Tree of Life costume featuring green fabrics, leafy vines, and butterflies across her midsection.
Adjusting Wedding Plans Around a New Arrival
While the couple exchanged vows quietly over the summer, they had originally intended to host a much larger, traditional celebration in January 2027. However, Chrisley explained that her pregnancy necessitated a reschedule. The large family and friend gathering has now been pushed back to May 2027.
"Wedding is in May," Chrisley shared during the interview, jokingly referring to her pregnancy as an unexpected disruption to their original calendar. "Because wedding was supposed to be in January, and then I have a real life wedding crasher. So [that’s] the way that worked out."
Reflecting on her upcoming transition into motherhood, Chrisley described the physical experience as "such a gift," despite noting that pregnancy discomforts can be challenging. She emphasized the emotional impact of feeling the baby kick, explaining that tactile moments reaffirm the purpose behind the journey.
Broader Cultural and Personal Perspectives
Beyond personal milestones, Chrisley addressed broader questions about bringing a child into the contemporary social climate. Addressing conversations with friends who express hesitation about modern societal challenges, she framed parenthood as an opportunity for proactive influence.
"When you think about putting good things into the world, we live in such a crazy world, and I have friends who are like, ‘I don’t know if I want to have a baby,’" Chrisley noted. "You get to control what you put into the world." She added that raising a child with deliberate values offers a chance to make a positive societal contribution, characterizing her temporary physical challenges as minor compared to the long-term significance of family.
The timeline of their relationship has moved rapidly. Following her 2025 separation from Robert Shiver, Chrisley connected with Galanis, whom she praised last month for helping her heal through difficult personal circumstances. With the Cayman Islands marriage completed and a formal reception slated for May, the couple is preparing for the arrival of their first child while managing public scrutiny surrounding their high-profile lives.
