Record Growth and Platform Adoption

SoundHound AI, Inc. (Nasdaq: SOUN) reported record financial results for the second quarter of 2026, signaling sustained demand for its agentic AI technology. The company generated $61.9 million in revenue, representing a 45% increase year-over-year. CEO Keyvan Mohajer emphasized that revenue is now 10 times higher than when the company debuted as a public entity in 2022.

The core of this growth is the OASYS platform, which facilitates enterprise-level conversational AI agents. According to the company’s Q2 report, the platform has gained significant traction across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, automotive, and retail sectors. Notably, the firm signed a 7-figure deal with a nationally ranked U.S. healthcare system and expanded its automotive footprint with new contracts in China and renewed collaborations with major brands like Hyundai and Stellantis.

Financial Path and Profitability Metrics

While top-line growth remains aggressive, SoundHound AI continues to navigate a period of net losses. The company reported a GAAP net loss of $42.8 million for the second quarter, although this is a marked improvement from the $74.7 million loss reported in the same period of 2025. Non-GAAP net loss stood at $9.0 million, reflecting disciplined cost management even as the company scales its operations.

The company maintains a strong liquidity position, reporting $203 million in cash and cash equivalents with no debt as of June 30, 2026. This financial buffer is critical as the company integrates recent acquisitions and prepares for the pending acquisition of LivePerson, a move that management expects to further consolidate its position in the conversational AI market.

Strategic Outlook for 2026

Based on the strong performance in the first half of the year, SoundHound AI has raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $230 million to $260 million. Management noted that this outlook will be reviewed following the expected closure of the LivePerson acquisition, which is slated to occur before the end of the year.

The company’s strategy involves heavy investment in in-house model innovations and global channel expansion. Recent partnerships, including an 8-figure deal with a Latin American partner and a new agreement with a global IT consulting provider, suggest that SoundHound is prioritizing geographic and enterprise-channel reach to sustain its growth trajectory.
