Swindon Town has officially announced the signing of defender Mitch Clark on a permanent deal following the expiration of his contract at Port Vale. The 27-year-old has signed an initial one-year agreement with the club, which includes an option to extend for a further season, subject to EFL approval.

Clark, a product of the Aston Villa academy, brings significant experience to the Swindon squad, having made over 200 EFL appearances throughout his career. His resume includes stints at Leicester City and Accrington Stanley, as well as multiple spells at Port Vale, where he notably contributed to a League Two promotion campaign two years ago.

Speaking on the official club website, Clark expressed his enthusiasm for the move, stating, “I’m a hard-working player that will run through a brick wall for the team.” He emphasized his desire to replicate his previous promotion success with his new club. Clark is scheduled to join the team for training on June 29, ahead of their pre-season preparations, which include a match against Swindon Supermarine and a training camp in Alicante.
