Krista Pikkat, Director of UNESCO’s Culture and Emergencies department, stated the organization’s readiness to support preservation efforts. Discussions are ongoing with Azerbaijani authorities to establish possible support mechanisms. UNESCO remains committed to preserving diverse heritage in the region, despite recent challenges to its mission.
