Authorities in the Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh have suspended a police constable, identified as Arvind Patel, following the emergence of viral CCTV footage showing him in an compromising position with a female colleague. The incident reportedly took place inside the control room of the Orai police station.
Details of the Incident
The viral video, which has circulated widely on social media, shows Constable Patel working at a computer in the station’s control room while off-duty in civilian clothing. A female trainee constable is seen approaching him from behind, embracing him, and allegedly kissing him. Reports indicate the footage was captured on Wednesday night.
Official Response
Jalaun Police confirmed the disciplinary action on the X platform, stating that Superintendent of Police (SP) Vinay Kumar Singh ordered the immediate suspension of the officer. A departmental inquiry is currently underway, led by the City Sub-Divisional Officer. The department has pledged further action once the investigation into the breach of conduct is concluded.
