A New Aesthetic for the Season Finale

As the 2026 FAGE WTA Finals approach, the world’s top professional tennis players are moving beyond their traditional athletic roles to embrace high-fashion identities. Ahead of the championship, which runs from November 8 to November 15 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the WTA released a series of portrait collections that reimagine the sport’s biggest stars as style icons and spectators.

According to WTA Tennis, the project features singles competitors styled by Danyul Brown in pieces from Fall/Winter 2026 and Resort 2027 collections. The initiative reflects a broader strategic shift as the organization seeks to amplify the intersection of professional sports, personal branding, and global fashion culture.

Defining Individual Style

The portrait series, captured by photographer Anna Webber for Getty Images, breaks from the standard group photography typically associated with tennis tournaments. Instead, the imagery focuses on the personal aesthetics of individual athletes. Notable pairings included Mirra Andreeva and Jessica Pegula in Chanel, Coco Gauff in Miu Miu, and Elena Rybakina in Dior. Elina Svitolina wore Tom Ford, while Karolina Muchova was styled in Balenciaga.

For Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova, the project served as an opportunity to showcase a personal style distinct from the court. “My inspiration was more streetwear, more layers, and a little bit of a non-traditional look than what you’d expect for a tennis event,” Noskova noted in a statement released by the WTA. She added that the platform allows players to express their identities as individuals rather than strictly as professional athletes.

Expanding the Fan Experience

The doubles players, styled by Maren Taylor, took a different approach, channeling vintage elegance and cinematic inspiration. Nicole Melichar-Martinez adapted a look reminiscent of Julia Roberts’ iconic style in the film *Pretty Woman*, while Elise Mertens utilized a vintage Dior set. This thematic variety is part of the WTA’s effort to integrate lifestyle branding into the tournament experience, which also includes collaborations with brands like Hello Kitty and the sports media entity TOGETHXR.

The 2026 FAGE WTA Finals, which begin on November 8, will see the top eight singles players and doubles teams compete for a $10 million prize purse. As the tournament prepares to crown its season-ending champions, the focus remains on the blend of high-stakes competition and the evolving cultural influence of the players involved.
