Professional rugby league player Brad Singleton has officially joined his hometown club, Barrow Raiders, for the remainder of the 2026 season. The veteran prop, who recently departed the Castleford Tigers, confirmed that this move marks the final contract of his career.

Singleton, who relocated back to Cumbria with his family earlier this year, stated that the opportunity to represent the club he grew up supporting was a primary motivation for the deal. “Barrow means a lot to me,” Singleton said in a statement. “I love the community, I love what the club stands for, and I know what rugby means to this town.”

Barrow Raiders director of rugby, Andy Gaffney, noted that the club moved quickly to sign the veteran once it became clear he had returned to the region. “A proven winner throughout his career, bringing in a player of Brad’s pedigree is a real statement of intent from the club,” Gaffney said. Singleton is expected to bolster the Raiders’ forward pack immediately and is in contention for the upcoming match against the Dewsbury Rams.
