Charleston Peak Winery has officially announced the return of its annual Grape Stomp, a community harvest tradition scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026. The event, which takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 3810 Winery Road, invites visitors to participate in a day of autumn-themed activities, according to PV Times.
The Grape Stomp Competition
The centerpiece of the festival is the namesake Grape Stomp Competition. Teams of two will compete to extract the highest volume of juice from barrels of ripe grapes using only their feet. The event includes a technical element, as partners must work together to ensure the drainage remains clear of skins and stems throughout the process.
Winners of the competition will receive a trophy and a year of bragging rights. Participation in the stomp requires pre-registration, which must be completed by Wednesday, October 7.
Entertainment and Vendor Marketplace
Beyond the competition, the winery grounds will feature a variety of amenities. Attendees can access wine and beer tastings, live musical entertainment, and a marketplace hosting local vendors. Offerings at the market include baked goods, jewelry, crafts, bath products, and tarot readings. Two food trucks and the winery’s own kitchen will provide dining options throughout the day.
Costume participation is encouraged for both competitors and general attendees, with a trophy awarded to the most creative outfit.
Admission and Tickets
General admission is priced at $5 per person, while an admission package including six beer or wine tastings is available for $25. The entry fee for the two-person stomp competition is $60 per team. Tickets can be purchased through the Charleston Peak Winery website.
