Court Ruling on Bond

Circuit Court Judge William Goodman III ruled on Wednesday that the $1 million bond for Dalton Eatherly, a controversial online personality known as “Chud the Builder,” will remain unchanged. Eatherly, 27, is currently facing charges of attempted homicide following a shooting incident outside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, last month.

During the hearing, Eatherly’s legal team argued for a reduction, citing his local ties, including family, a child living in the area, and his ownership of a local construction business. However, the court maintained the current bond, stipulating that if Eatherly were to post bail, he would be subject to a strict curfew from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Legal Challenges

The shooting incident, which occurred in May, left both Eatherly and another man, identified as Joshua Fox, with gunshot wounds. According to the District Attorney General for the 19th Judicial District, the confrontation escalated into gunfire, leading to the attempted murder charges against Eatherly.

In addition to the Montgomery County case, Eatherly faces separate legal issues in Nashville. He is charged with theft under $1,000, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after an alleged incident at a downtown steakhouse in early May. Reports indicate Eatherly refused to pay a $400 bill, leading to his arrest. He was not present for the Nashville hearing due to his continued incarceration in the Montgomery County Jail.

Eatherly has gained notoriety on social media for his confrontational livestreaming style, which often involves testing boundaries through provocative language and behavior in public settings.
