Youth World Champion Emma Pogosyan secured another victory at the European Under-20 Weightlifting Championships in Poland. Competing in the 81kg weight category, the Armenian athlete achieved a total of 218kg in the combined events.
Pogosyan delivered an outstanding performance in the snatch, lifting 100kg and earning the small gold medal in this discipline. In the clean and jerk, she demonstrated her strength with a successful 118kg lift, securing another gold medal.
In the same weight category, Armenia’s other representative, Alina Sukiasyan, finished sixth with a total of 202kg.
Armenia’s success continued in the U23 championship, where Valerik Movsisyan captured the bronze medal in the 89kg category with a combined total of 339kg (155+184).
