Funeral arrangements have been confirmed for Thomasina and Patrick (Paddy) Tobin, the Irish couple who died in a tragic incident while on holiday in Spain on August 24, 2026. According to the official death notice published on RIP.ie, the couple leaves behind two children, Rhea and Séamus.

A public wake will be held at Ward’s Funeral Home in Ballybay, County Monaghan, on Thursday, September 17, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral mass will follow on Friday, September 18, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Knock Church in Ballintra. Following the public mass, a strictly private cremation service will take place.

The couple’s passing in late August occurred under circumstances that prompted an international investigation, with reports indicating they were discovered in a hot tub at a Spanish villa. The family has requested privacy during this period and has asked for donations to be directed to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund in memory of the couple, rather than floral tributes.
