Scott, who received $38 billion in Amazon stock following her 2019 divorce from Jeff Bezos, has donated approximately $26 billion to various causes to date. Having sold 75% of her original Amazon stake, she maintains a notable distance from the traditional publishing industry, opting not to engage in standard promotional tours or interviews for this project. While her earlier works, such as “The Testing of Luther Albright,” were noted for their literary focus, this latest project reflects a more experimental approach to both content and distribution.
