Man charged with rape following alleged offences at Castleford bar

West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that 43-year-old Daniel Bennett, of Kippax, has been charged with rape and assault by penetration. The charges follow an investigation into alleged offences reported to have taken place at Sanctum Bar in Castleford during 2024 and 2026.

Mr. Bennett has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Authorities are continuing their enquiries to determine the full extent of the alleged offending.
