Actress Samantha Morton, who portrays the enchantress Circe in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic The Odyssey, has publicly encouraged audiences to prioritize the cinematic experience over minor weekly expenses. During an appearance on ITV’s This Morning on July 6, 2026, Morton suggested that viewers treat the film as a major event, urging families to “invest” in IMAX tickets for the July 17 premiere.
“Think about how many takeaways you have a week,” Morton said during the interview. “Think about where the local IMAX is and see this like an event… that is the only way to see it.”
The film, which has been in development by Nolan for nearly two decades, was shot entirely using IMAX cameras. The production has generated significant anticipation, with lead actor Matt Damon recently describing the project as a career-defining role. Tickets for the film were made available to the public a year in advance to accommodate the high demand.
In addition to her promotional efforts, Morton recently attended the film’s London photocall. Dressed in a bronze McQueen Pre-Fall 2026 gown, her appearance drew praise for its thematic alignment with the film’s mythological roots, reflecting the ancient, weathered aesthetic of the production.
