Front Office Departure
The Minnesota Vikings have officially announced the addition of Trent Kirchner to their football operations staff. Kirchner, who spent 16 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, most recently serving as the vice president of player personnel, joins the Vikings as an assistant general manager. This move is part of a broader restructuring under new Vikings general manager Nolan Teasley, who also hired Andrew Healy from the Cleveland Browns. Kirchner’s departure marks a significant change for the Seahawks’ personnel department.
Seattle Storm Break Skid
In other Seattle sports news, the Seattle Storm ended a difficult 11-game losing streak on Thursday night, defeating the New York Liberty 99-88 at Climate Pledge Arena. Rookie Flau’jae Johnson led the charge with a career-high 28 points, while Dominique Malonga continued her historic season by becoming the youngest player in WNBA history to reach 500 career points.
The Storm (4-15) controlled much of the game, holding a 16-point lead in the fourth quarter before fending off a late New York rally. The win provides a much-needed morale boost for the team, which had not secured a victory since May 24.
Seahawks Legends Community Engagement
Off the field, the Seahawks organization continues its community outreach. On June 11, 2026, the team hosted the “Legends Spring Event,” an evening cruise on Lake Washington dedicated to former players, highlighting the franchise’s commitment to maintaining its history and alumni connections.
