Ahead of his two-night concert run at the National Stadium, fans of AsiaOne reported, braved snaking queues for merchandise pop-ups outside the venue. The 36-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter, Abel Tesfaye, acknowledged the turnout on his Instagram Story by reposting a video of the crowded merchandise lines outside the Singapore venue.

Despite waiting under umbrellas and enduring lengthy delays, attendees expressed enthusiasm online, with one fan sharing on X that the wait was “worth it.” The merchandise stands opened a full day before the official concert dates, drawing high-volume engagement from regional supporters.

Tour Schedule and Local Sightings

The Weeknd arrived in Singapore ahead of his scheduled performances on Oct 2 and Oct 3. The Asia leg of his After Hours Til Dawn Tour kicked off in Tokyo on Sept 19 and is set to conclude on Nov 5 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with ticket sales managed via Ticketmaster and opening acts featured from Japanese hip hop duo Creepy Nuts.

During his days leading up to the concert, Tesfaye was spotted visiting tourist attractions across the city-state, including Marina Bay Sands and Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Theme park visitors reported seeing the singer touring the Ancient Egypt area wearing a mask and an XO merchandise t-shirt, while local influencer Nigel Lim also caught a brief glimpse of the artist near Halloween Horror Nights attractions.
