Yerevan’s New Trolleybuses to Revolutionize Public Transport Efficiency

Trolleybuses

Significant changes are coming to Yerevan’s public transportation system with the introduction of newly imported trolleybuses. The Yerevan Municipality has drafted a decision aimed at reorganizing several routes to improve the quality of passenger service and reduce waiting times on busy routes.

As part of the new transportation plan, routes 2A and 10A will be restructured. Route 2A will merge with Route 2, which will now extend to Nubarashen and be serviced by new Zhongtong trolleybuses. The number of vehicles on this route will increase by five, bringing the total to 13, reducing the waiting time from 21 minutes to 15 minutes.

Route 10A will continue under Route 10, serviced by Yutong trolleybuses. The fleet size will increase to 13 vehicles, lowering the waiting interval from 21 minutes to just 11 minutes.

These updates will also benefit other key routes. Additional vehicles on Routes 1, 9, and 15 will reduce waiting intervals, improving overall transport efficiency and convenience for passengers. For example, Route 1’s waiting time will drop from 18 minutes to 14, while Route 15 will see its interval reduced from 18 minutes to 13 minutes.
