A High-Profile Convergence of Tech and Entertainment
Singapore is set to host a convergence of global technology leaders and high-energy entertainment as The Best Event officially launches its AFTERDARK series on October 5, 2026. Held at the historic Capitol Theatre, the event serves as the unofficial curtain-raiser for a week dominated by the Token2049 conference and the Singapore Grand Prix. According to The Best Event, more than 2,500 participants have already secured their spots for the evening, with organizers anticipating a total attendance exceeding 3,000 guests.
The event is designed to bridge the gap between professional networking and nightlife, catering to the thousands of founders, investors, and developers descending on the city. “We built AFTERDARK because the panel ending was not the only reason people flew in,” said Tobias Bauer, Co-Founder of The Best Event and General Partner at TBV. “Everyone’s still in the same city, still in the mode, still talking. We just wanted to give that energy somewhere to go after dark.”
Lineup and Venue Strategy
The musical program features a roster of international talent, headlined by German producer Topic, known for his multi-billion stream success in the emotional dance music space. He will be joined by electro-house veteran Tujamo, alongside regional and international acts including Jade Rasif, Ariel Estrella, and Kim Sane. The venue, the restored art deco landmark Capitol Theatre, was specifically chosen for its capacity to host high-profile productions.
The evening is structured in three distinct phases. Beginning at 6:00 PM, a VIP networking session provides exclusive access for industry leaders before the general doors open at 8:00 PM. Following the arrival of the broader attendee base, the event will host the KOL Award Ceremony in partnership with KOL Capital, aimed at recognizing influential figures who have shaped the Web3 community over the past year. Once the ceremony concludes, the transition to the main music performance begins.
Stakes for the Tech Ecosystem
With general admission tickets nearing a complete sellout and VIP access strictly limited, the event underscores the scale of Singapore’s tech-focused week. The Best Event, which has organized over 120 gatherings across 24 cities, positions itself as a critical facilitator for the Web3 sector. By pairing high-profile music performances with industry-specific awards and networking, the organizers aim to maintain momentum for the professional conferences scheduled to follow throughout the week.
