  • Traders on BNB Chain are pairing newly launched meme coins directly against Binance's tokenized GameStop shares (GMEB).
  • A PancakeSwap pool featuring 'memestock' and GMEB has generated over 3,000 in daily volume.
  • The entire on-chain GMEB supply is valued at .3 million, representing just 0.07% of GameStop's actual .02 billion market cap.
  • Because the bStocks program is run from Abu Dhabi and excludes US persons, on-chain trading does not flow into Wall Street order books.

Cryptocurrency traders on the BNB Chain have begun experimenting with a new trading mechanism that directly links highly speculative meme coins to tokenized versions of real-world equities. According to a report by BeInCrypto published on Yahoo Finance, market participants are pairing meme tokens directly against GMEB—the tokenized representation of GameStop shares issued on Binance’s platform.

The trend gained traction following the August 12 launch of a PancakeSwap liquidity pool featuring a token called “memestock” paired directly against GMEB. Within a short period, the pool accumulated over $200,000 in liquidity and recorded a 24-hour trading volume of $543,000. At least nine other meme coins, including “stockmemes”, “LONGCZ”, and “BURN”, have since adopted GMEB as their quote asset, collectively generating approximately $2.2 million in daily trading volume.

These tokenized assets are part of Binance’s “bStocks” initiative, which debuted in June. According to Binance, each bStock token is fully backed by an actual share of US stock held by a regulated custodian. The tokens are issued by BTech Holdings Limited, with Nest Trading Limited managing the conversions on a one-to-one basis.

Despite the enthusiasm among retail traders, the scale of this on-chain ecosystem remains minuscule compared to traditional stock markets. The total supply of tokenized GameStop shares on the BNB Chain stands at 292,353 tokens, valued at approximately $5.3 million. This represents a mere 0.07% of GameStop’s actual market capitalization, which closed at $8.02 billion. A similar disparity exists on the Robinhood Chain, where the meme coin “Artificial Inu” reached a valuation of $98.6 million, while trading against a tokenized Nvidia supply worth only $9.3 million.

Furthermore, the legal and technical infrastructure of these tokenized shares prevents them from directly influencing Wall Street. Binance operates its bStocks program out of Abu Dhabi and explicitly restricts access to US residents. Because only pre-approved, eligible users can convert the digital tokens back into physical shares, the speculative activity on decentralized exchanges does not flow back into New York order books. While some traders speculate that pairing meme coins with tokenized micro-cap stocks could eventually influence real-world stock prices, GameStop’s multi-billion-dollar valuation makes it far too large for such an experiment to succeed under current market conditions.
