The studio has locked in a theatrical release date of June 2, 2028. The production is intended for premium large-format exhibition, including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and 4DX, signaling Paramount’s intent to position the film as a major tentpole event in the vein of recent legacy-sequel successes.

Jonathan Levine, known for his work on Long Shot and Mr. Irrelevant, has been confirmed to direct the project.
