Garegin II Sends Greeting to Pope Leo XIV
His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has extended a congratulatory message to the newly elected Pope Leo XIV. The message was shared by the Information Department of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Message of Prayer and Blessing
On behalf of the clergy and faithful of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Garegin II offered his best wishes and prayers to Pope Leo XIV on assuming the pastoral responsibility of guiding millions of Catholic faithful worldwide.
“At this new stage of your apostolic ministry, we pray that God may bestow upon Your Holiness strength and grace to lead the Catholic Church with truth and compassion,” the Catholicos wrote. He also wished the Pope lasting health and spiritual strength.
Continued Relations Between Sister Churches
Garegin II expressed gratitude for the enduring Christian love and strengthened relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Roman Catholic Church in recent decades, noting mutual respect, fraternal encounters, and shared testimony.
