Riot Games has officially confirmed the return of its virtual League of Legends boy band, HEARTSTEEL, marking the group’s first release in three years. The band, consisting of champions Ezreal, Sett, Yone, K’Sante, Aphelios, and Kayn, debuted their new single, “Live My Life,” on September 19, 2026, via the official League of Legends YouTube channel, according to InvenGlobal.
The track features a star-studded lineup of collaborators, including Anderson .Paak, BAEKHYUN, Connor Price, and Nic D. BAEKHYUN, who previously voiced Ezreal on the group’s 2023 debut single “PARANOIA,” returns to reprise his role. The comeback follows weeks of anticipation and social media teasers that depicted the members’ return to the spotlight.
Expansion into Riftbound TCG
Beyond the music, HEARTSTEEL is set to influence Riot’s broader ecosystem. Reporting from Insider Gaming indicates that the band will be featured in an upcoming set for the Riftbound Trading Card Game (TCG). The new cards appear to be themed around the band’s aesthetic, with leaks suggesting the inclusion of alternate art, signatures, and “overnumbered” card versions.
This integration is expected to coincide with the broader “music-themed” Season 3 Act 2 of League of Legends. Industry analysts and data miners, such as SkinSpotlights, suggest that the HEARTSTEEL revival will also bring new in-game character skins for Ezreal, Kayn, Sett, K’Sante, Aphelios, and Yone. These assets are projected to arrive on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) as early as September 22, with a full release for all players scheduled for Patch 26.20 on October 7.

The return of HEARTSTEEL is part of a larger push by Riot Games to leverage its virtual music groups. Reports suggest that K/DA, another prominent virtual group under the Riot banner, is also preparing for a comeback, having recently registered a new song titled “Watch Me” with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
