Honor has officially confirmed the upcoming launch of the X9e Pro smartphone, scheduled for release in the Malaysian market on September 24, 2026. The device, which expands the brand’s popular mid-range X series, is positioned as a significant advancement in mobile power efficiency, centered around a substantial 11,000mAh battery.
According to Notebookcheck, this capacity represents a major generational jump for the series, which previously utilized an 8,300mAh cell in its predecessor. For comparison, the battery capacity in the X9e Pro is more than double that of the current iPhone 18 Pro Max and significantly higher than the 7,100mAh battery found in the flagship Honor Magic 8 Pro.
Hardware and Durability Features
Beyond its power capacity, the X9e Pro is being marketed with a focus on durability under the company’s new “EXTREME” branding. The device carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, signaling high-level protection against environmental hazards. The design incorporates a circular rear camera housing, with official branding confirming a 108MP primary sensor.
T3 reports that the device will support 80W SuperCharge wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank for other electronics. The handset will be available in four distinct colorways: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold, and Midnight Black.
Market Availability and Strategy
While the X9e Pro generates significant interest due to its battery specs, Honor has currently positioned the device as an exclusive release for the Malaysian market. There is no official indication from the manufacturer regarding a wider international rollout in the UK, US, or European markets. However, industry analysts suggest that Honor often utilizes specific regional launches to test new technologies before integrating them into more widely available global models.
