A Family Milestone in Miami
Four generations of the Trump family converged in Miami on Saturday, Sept. 26, to mark a significant personal milestone: the 100th birthday of maternal grandmother Marie Zelníčková, affectionately known as “Babi,” according to WFMD. Ivanka Trump, 44, shared details and photographs of the celebration on Instagram, describing the gathering as an “incredibly special” reflection of a century of life, love, and family memory.
The milestone event took place at Ivanka Trump’s Miami residence. According to the published posts and family accounts, the centenarian was joined by all three of her grandchildren and all 10 of her great-grandchildren. Among those in attendance were Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, alongside their three children: Arabella, 15, Joseph, 12, and Theodore, 10.
Other branches of the family also participated in the multi-generational gathering. Eric Trump attended with his wife, Lara Trump, and their two children, Luke and Carolina. Meanwhile, Donald Trump Jr. was joined by his wife, Bettina Anderson, and his five children from his previous marriage to Vanessa Trump—Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe. Photographs from the event captured a formal family portrait featuring Zelníčková seated among her descendants.
Reflections on Legacy and Generational Bonds
The celebration offered an opportunity for family members to reflect on the deep influence Zelníčková has had across decades. Having helped raise Ivanka Trump during her earlier years, Zelníčková now lives with Ivanka’s family in Miami, a living arrangement that the family has frequently described as a central source of support and stability.
Earlier this year, Ivanka Trump spoke openly about her grandmother during an appearance on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast, characterizing her as “unbelievably nurturing” and noting that having her in their home remains a daily blessing. She emphasized that watching her grandmother reach a century of life has deeply altered her perspective on time, aging, and the importance of maintaining close familial ties.
Honoring the Memory of Ivana Trump
While the weekend marked a joyous occasion, the gathering also carried a distinct emotional resonance due to a notable absence. Ivanka Trump’s mother and Zelníčková’s daughter, Ivana Trump, passed away in July 2022 at the age of 73.
In her public tribute, Ivanka noted that her mother’s presence was deeply missed throughout the day’s events but felt strongly through shared stories and the enduring bonds of the family. Directing her remarks toward her grandmother, Ivanka wrote, “Babi, your century of love has shaped generations and lives in every one of us.”
