Martial arts icon Jet Li, 63, commemorated Father’s Day by sharing rare family tributes across his social media platforms. The actor, who is a Singapore citizen, highlighted his relationship with his four daughters: Si and Taimi, from his marriage to Huang Qiuyan (1987–1990), and Jane and Jada, from his marriage to Nina Li Chi, whom he wed in 1999.

In a video shared on his Instagram, Li engaged in a candid conversation with his daughter Jada regarding his role as a parent. When asked if he considered himself successful as a father, Li responded with humility, stating he has always tried his best, but acknowledged that “trying your best doesn’t mean you’re good.” He added, “Until today, I’m still learning.”

Li further expressed a shift in his approach to parenting, noting that he no longer wants to be defined by the traditional “father” role, preferring instead to be a “friend” to his children. The social media tribute included rare archival photographs of Li with his daughters during their childhood.

On Weibo, the actor reflected on the passage of time and the bond with his children: “I’m grateful for my daughters’ companionship. I watched you grow up, and you will accompany me as I grow old.”

Li, known for his private nature, has occasionally shared glimpses into his family life. In August 2025, he publicly shared that his eldest daughter, Si, had married, marking the occasion by gifting her a Luxeed R7 electric vehicle, emphasizing that the most important factor in gift-giving is the genuine preference of his children.
