Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., the 15-year-old son of reality television personality Kim Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann, has been arrested and is currently being held without bond. According to Fulton County Juvenile Court documents, the teenager faces charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. The arrest occurred on August 17, 2026, and a court hearing is scheduled for September 1.
The charges stem from an alleged incident on April 23, 2026, at a Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia. A female classmate of the accused alleged that an assault took place in a co-ed sauna area of the gym. The court documentation details the victim’s account of the event, alleging that the minor attempted to force sexual acts upon her before she managed to escape the premises. Following the incident, the victim reportedly sought medical evaluation at North Fulton Hospital on April 24.
Defense Strategy and Forensic Evidence
The defense, led by attorney Jason Sheffield, has maintained the teenager’s innocence. In a statement, Sheffield noted that the defense had presented evidence to law enforcement, including a polygraph test taken by his client, which he claims was passed. Furthermore, the defense highlighted that a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) report concluded there was no male DNA found on or inside the areas where the victim alleged the assault occurred.
Kim Zolciak issued a public statement condemning the allegations as “reckless and deeply troubling.” She emphasized that her son categorically denies the events described in the court documents. Zolciak also noted that the individual making the accusations has reportedly made similar claims against others in the past, suggesting that the legal process must be allowed to examine these claims thoroughly without premature public condemnation.

The investigation into the incident began following the report filed at the hospital. Alpharetta police records indicate that initial contact with the family was made in mid-May 2026. While the security camera footage from the fitness center shows the teenager present on the day of the alleged incident, the court records note that he did not formally scan into the facility at the time. As the case moves toward the September hearing, the focus remains on the judicial determination of the evidence provided by both the prosecution and the defense.
