Missé Beqiri, known for her appearance on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, has shared the harrowing details of learning about the death of her former partner, Jake Hall. Hall, a 35-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star, was found dead at a villa in Mallorca, Spain, in May 2026. In a candid appearance on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, Beqiri revealed the surreal coincidence that she was actually in Mallorca at the time of the tragedy due to a travel complication, though she was unaware of Hall’s presence or the impending news.
Beqiri recalled receiving a series of missed calls from Hall’s father, initially fearing for the safety of their eight-year-old daughter, River. “I was like, ‘why they called me this late? is everything okay?’ And the dad was like… ‘it’s not River, it’s Jake.’… I mean, I went into total panic mode,” she shared. She expressed deep regret that she was on the island at the same time, noting that she wished she had known he was there, speculating that he might have reached out for support.
Navigating Grief and Parenthood
Following his passing, no specific cause of death was determined by an autopsy, according to reports from the BBC and Sky News. Beqiri has since focused her efforts on protecting their daughter, River. Speaking to People, Beqiri described the immense difficulty of explaining the loss to an eight-year-old, noting that the reality of the situation is “so much for her little brain to process.”
To support River, Beqiri has prioritized maintaining a stable routine, including therapy and leaning on a support system of friends and family. “I had to be strong,” Beqiri stated, emphasizing that her primary role now is to help their daughter navigate milestones without her father present. Beqiri noted that despite their past personal challenges and a previous restraining order, the bond between Hall and his daughter was significant and will remain a lasting part of River’s life.
