A New Vision for Festival Curation
Pop star Olivia Rodrigo officially announced the launch of “Daisy Chain Fields,” a female-driven music festival scheduled to take place on August 29, 2026, at Great Park in Irvine, California. The event marks a significant milestone in Rodrigo’s career, as she transitions from headlining tours to curating large-scale cultural experiences.
The festival features a diverse, all-female lineup spanning multiple generations of music history. Confirmed performers include Chappell Roan, Stevie Nicks, Garbage, Doechii, Mitski, The Breeders, Bikini Kill, and Santigold, among others. In total, 14 acts are scheduled to perform across two stages.
Commitment to Advocacy
Beyond the musical curation, the festival is structured around a philanthropic mission. According to the official announcement, 100% of the net proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields will be donated to various organizations dedicated to the advancement of women and girls. Partner charities include Baby2Baby, the Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the Center for Reproductive Rights, and the National Women’s Law Center.
“I firmly believe that joy, community, and music can be the drivers of meaningful change,” Rodrigo stated on social media. The event represents a strategic expansion of her brand, blending commercial success with social activism.
Industry Impact
The decision to host an all-female festival is being closely watched by industry analysts. While the format draws historical comparisons to legacy events like Lilith Fair, Rodrigo’s involvement brings a younger demographic into the conversation. The festival is expected to be a major cultural draw, coming on the heels of the success of her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which recently debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
Tickets for the event are highly anticipated, with a fan presale beginning on Wednesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. Verizon customers will have access to an exclusive post-sale on July 9.
