  • Seven Network acquired rights to I’m A Celebrity for 2027.
  • Network Ten cancelled the show in February 2024.
  • Hosting lineup for the new series remains unannounced.

Australia’s Seven Network has officially secured the rights to the global reality franchise I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, with plans to launch a new series in 2027. The move follows the decision by rival Network Ten to cancel the long-running program earlier this year, ending its tenure with the show in February 2024.

The format, owned by ITV Studios, will continue to be produced by ITV Studios Australia. While production details remain under wraps, it is widely expected that the series will return to its established South African filming location. Angus Ross, managing director of TV and streaming at Seven’s parent company, Southern Cross Media Group, described the acquisition as an opportunity to bring “fresh energy” to a proven international format.

The future of the show’s on-screen talent remains a point of industry speculation. The previous iteration on Network Ten featured conservationist Robert Irwin and television personality Julia Morris as co-hosts. As of mid-July 2026, Seven Network has not disclosed its hosting lineup or cast, leaving the potential return of the previous hosts uncertain. David Mott, chief executive of ITV Studios Australia, confirmed that the production team is preparing to deliver a “brand-new era” for the franchise, emphasizing the show’s history of celebrity revelations and high-stakes trials.
