WILLIAMSON COUNTY (Azat TV) – Two individuals were taken into custody following a specialized narcotics investigation conducted by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. According to official reports released on August 14, 2026, the operation targeted illegal methamphetamine distribution activities linked to a residence identified as belonging to Michael W. Whitworth.
Deputies utilized a combination of surveillance, intelligence gathering, and controlled narcotics purchases to build the case against the suspects. These investigative efforts provided the necessary evidence for the Sheriff’s Office to obtain and execute a search warrant for the property and associated structures.
Following the search, authorities arrested Michael W. Whitworth and Devon L. Switzer. Both suspects face a series of serious charges, including multiple Class 1 felonies for methamphetamine delivery, conspiracy, and possession of 15 to 100 grams of the drug. Additionally, charges include unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, a Class 3 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
The suspects were transported to the Williamson County Jail, where they remain pending further court proceedings. The Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details regarding the ongoing investigation at this time.
