Quick Read

  • The 2026 OC Fair runs from July 17 to August 16.
  • Daily admission is capped at approximately 50,000 visitors.
  • Online ticket purchases are now mandatory for entry.
  • OCTA offers a round-trip 'OC Fair Express' shuttle on weekends.

The annual OC Fair returns to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa on July 17, 2026, marking the start of a 23-day run that concludes on August 16. With attendance expected to exceed 1 million visitors, organizers have introduced significant logistical changes, including daily admission caps and a transition to mandatory advance online ticketing to manage capacity.

Logistics and Admission Strategy

Fair officials, citing data from previous years where multiple dates reached capacity, have implemented a strict daily limit of approximately 50,000 visitors. General admission pricing is tiered: $13 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, rising to $18 for Fridays and weekends. To encourage early attendance, the fair offers an $11 entry rate for those arriving before 1 p.m. on weekdays, and a pre-fair pricing window that allows weekend tickets to be purchased for $15.

For frequent visitors, the “Every Day Passport” is available for $60, providing unlimited access throughout the fair’s duration, though supply is limited. Tickets for events at the Pacific Amphitheatre, The Hangar, and the Action Sports Arena continue to include complimentary fair admission on the day of the show.

Transportation and Parking

On-site parking at the fairgrounds is set at $15 per vehicle. To mitigate traffic congestion near the 55 Freeway, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has reactivated the “OC Fair Express” shuttle service. Operating on weekends, the shuttle provides round-trip transport for $4 from six regional hubs, including Anaheim, Fullerton, and Irvine. Fair management advises that Gate 1 on Fair Drive should be prioritized for rideshare drop-offs, as other entrances, such as Gate 10, may face closures during peak periods.

Attractions and Culinary Offerings

This year’s fair introduces the “Air Raid,” a 118-foot ride designed for high-intensity thrills, alongside a diverse food lineup. Culinary highlights include a French onion-flavored Ten Pound Bun, fried tiramisu, and various Korean corn dog variations. The fair remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with operating hours extending until midnight on weekends.
