Public Taunts and Social Media Reactions

Rapper and television producer 50 Cent has continued his public feud with rival Sean Combs, taking to social media to mock reports that the incarcerated music mogul was placed back into solitary confinement, according to Billboard. Sharing a screenshot of media coverage on Instagram, the G-Unit boss quoted his former character Kanan Stark from the hit television series Power, writing, “Yo the box again for what, what ever they say he did, he did that s–t. LOL.” NBC News subsequently confirmed via an institutional source that Combs had indeed been moved following earlier revelations regarding his time behind bars.

The latest disciplinary action arrives closely on the heels of a bombshell investigative report published by NBC News, which detailed what inmates at Fort Dix federal prison described as an unusually pampered lifestyle for Combs. According to those accounts, the disgraced mogul allegedly maintained access to prohibited items, including cell phones, a jailbroken tablet, and prescription antidepressants with mood boosters. Furthermore, sources claimed Combs paid fellow inmates to perform menial tasks such as cooking meals, cleaning his cell, and scrubbing showers.

Institutional Scrutiny and Prior Infractions

This is not the first time Combs has faced restrictive housing during his ongoing sentence. Over the summer, he spent time in the Special Housing Unit following an alleged physical altercation with another inmate in July. Representatives for Combs have consistently maintained that he follows prison guidelines while awaiting court decisions, noting via a spokesperson that “Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.” Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on individual housing assignments or ongoing disciplinary probes, citing institutional safety and privacy protocols as reported by Complex.

Combs was convicted in October 2025 on two charges of transportation for prostitution, commonly referred to as Mann Act violations, and received a sentence of 50 months behind bars. He is currently slated for release from federal custody in early 2028. Beyond his ongoing online rivalry with 50 Cent—who also recently produced the Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning—the mogul’s legal team continues navigating appeal avenues while prison administrators assess the fallout from the latest security and privilege investigations.
