A Milestone Collaboration
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, Casio has unveiled the GA110PKM-7A, a limited-edition G-SHOCK watch. The timepiece marks three decades since the original 1996 release of Pocket Monsters Red, Green, and Blue, merging the brand’s rugged GA110 platform with nostalgic gaming aesthetics.
Design and Features
The watch features a vibrant color palette of red, green, and blue, paying homage to the original game titles. Notable design elements include a Poké Ball-themed inset dial at the 9 o’clock position and watch hands modeled after the silhouette of Pikachu. The band is etched with 30 different Pokémon, representing the franchise’s evolution from the Kanto starters to the Paldea region, with the mythical Pokémon Mew featured on the band loop.
Built on the durable GA110 platform, the watch offers 200-meter water resistance, magnetic resistance, world time for 29 zones, and a 1/1000th-second stopwatch. Each unit is packaged in a commemorative Poké Ball-shaped box.
Global Distribution Strategy
Casio is employing varied distribution models to manage high demand. In Japan, the watch is available via an online lottery system from July 1 to July 6, 2026, to prevent scalping. In the United States, pre-orders open on July 1, 2026, with a retail price of $270, ahead of a wider global launch on July 17. The UK release is scheduled for July at a price point of £220.
