  • Critics suggest the 16-song length impacts overall cohesion.

British R&B trio FLO has officially released their sophomore album, Therapy at the Club, a 16-track project that explores themes of late-night escapism and female friendship. The release follows months of anticipation and a brief delay earlier this year, necessitated by member Jorja Douglas’ precautionary vocal cord surgery.

According to InMusicBlog, the album is built on the trio’s signature vocal chemistry, blending R&B sensibilities with polished, modern pop production. The project centers on the concept of intimate conversations shared during a night out, a theme that grounds the record’s emotional arc.

The album’s standout track, “Leak It,” remains its defining moment. Released as a single prior to the full project, the song features a bouncing beat and complex harmonies that critics have identified as some of the group’s strongest work to date. Other tracks, such as “Sober” and the title track “Therapy at the Club,” shift the focus to more vulnerable, stripped-back arrangements, allowing the vocal control of Douglas, Renée Downer, and Stella Quaresma to take center stage.

While the album contains several high-impact tracks, its 16-song runtime has drawn some criticism. Reviewers noted that the extended length occasionally dilutes the cohesion found in the group’s debut, Access All Areas. Despite this, the trio maintains a consistent “unapologetic” attitude throughout, with songs like “Touché” and “Don’t Break Her Heart” serving as highlights that leverage their interplay to distinguish the group from their contemporaries in the current R&B landscape.
