Mizzou’s women’s golf team brought three consecutive top-three finishes into the Jim West Challenge, scheduled for October 18–19 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas. The fall finale offers the Tigers another test against a field of eleven teams.
The form behind the trip
The Tigers won the Johnie Imes Invitational, finished second at the OU Intercollegiate and placed third at the Illini Women’s Invitational. At the latter event, they finished 17 under par, with Addie Dobson tied for eighth at seven under.
Dobson’s contribution extends across the opening stretch of the season: an individual victory, a runner-up finish and another top ten. Mizzou’s official tournament preview lists the team at No. 36 nationally and Dobson at No. 15 in the rankings released October 14.
A demanding two-day format
The schedule calls for 36 holes on October 18 and the final 18 on October 19. That format puts sustained performance alongside individual scoring. This article provides the tournament context and pre-event form; it does not report an opening-day score or a final position.
UNLV and TCU are among the opposition. The Tigers’ lineup includes Dobson, Melanie Walker, Alexandra Berglund, Addie Surber and Fleur Van Beek, with Grace Crawford competing individually. Current round scores are available from the leaderboard linked in Mizzou’s preview.
