The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have concluded their operation on Doyle Street in St. John’s, lifting the public advisory that had been in place earlier Wednesday morning. Residents are now permitted to resume normal activities in the area.

The RCMP initially requested that the public avoid the neighborhood, located off Topsail Road, as officers conducted an investigation. During the height of the operation, authorities issued a specific request for citizens to refrain from sharing photos or videos of the scene on social media, citing the need to ensure the safety of officers on the ground.

While the immediate advisory has been lifted, the RCMP confirmed that a police presence will remain in the area for the time being. The department has stated that they do not believe there is any ongoing risk to the general public. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
