K-pop icon and 2NE1 member Sandara Park made a surprise appearance at the Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS) on July 17, 2026, to promote the organization’s 2026 fundraising campaign. Park, who currently serves as the team manager for the South Korean basketball show Rising Eagles, participated in the event to advocate for youth sports development.

During her visit to Geylang, Park interacted with students from Swiss Cottage Secondary School and Nanyang Girls’ High School, who were competing in the National School Games. Beyond shooting hoops with the students, Park signed four commemorative basketballs that are slated for auction during the BAS fundraising dinner on September 11. Proceeds from the auction are designated to support youth training centers, coach development, and national team initiatives.

“I see how the players practise and play, and I really want to support young athletes and their dreams,” Park stated during the event. “Sports teaches discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.”

The visit follows Park’s recent announcement on July 16 regarding a new partnership with Singapore-based Power Entertainment. Her involvement in basketball-themed media, specifically Rising Eagles Season 2—which premiered on July 5 via SBS and Netflix—underscores a shift in her career focus toward sports advocacy and regional entertainment collaborations in Southeast Asia.
