Six Flags has officially confirmed a lifetime ban for YouTuber Allen Ferrell following a viral stunt performed on the Millennium Force roller coaster at Cedar Point in Ohio. The company announced the decision on May 29, citing a severe violation of guest safety policies.
The Incident
On May 19, Ferrell, a Michigan-based creator with over 1.8 million subscribers, posted a video documenting his attempt to consume McDonald’s chicken nuggets while riding the attraction. The video shows Ferrell and a companion smuggling food onto the ride, which reaches speeds of 93 mph. At one point, Ferrell is seen accepting a container of dipping sauce from a passenger in the adjacent seat.
Cedar Point, which is owned by Six Flags, maintains strict prohibitions against “loose articles” on all rides. Park officials emphasized that these rules are in place to prevent choking hazards and potential injuries to other guests or staff. Tony Clark, regional manager of public relations for Six Flags, stated, “Safety is a cornerstone of our business, and we have zero tolerance for inappropriate and unsafe behavior.”
Impact and Precedent
This incident is not the first time Ferrell has utilized the Millennium Force for such stunts; a 2023 video featuring him eating a sandwich on the same ride has accumulated over 5 million views. However, the current ban reflects a broader industry trend where amusement parks are increasingly clamping down on influencers who prioritize viral engagement over operational safety protocols.
In an interview regarding the ban, Ferrell acknowledged the park’s position, noting, “I get the park’s point with the ban… They just don’t want other people getting hurt on the ride.” Despite the lifetime ban from all Six Flags properties, Ferrell has indicated he plans to continue producing challenge-based content for his audience.
The incident highlights the growing tension between the creator economy and physical safety standards in high-risk environments. As social media platforms incentivize increasingly extreme content, major entertainment corporations are responding with stricter enforcement of their codes of conduct to mitigate liability and protect guest experience.
