Skoda has officially pulled back the curtain on the Peaq, a seven-seater electric SUV set to redefine the Czech manufacturer’s lineup as its largest and most spacious vehicle to date. Scheduled for a mid-2026 market launch in Europe and select global regions, the Peaq arrives as the production realization of the Vision 7S concept, aiming to bridge the gap between high-end electric performance and practical family utility.
Engineering the Largest Skoda Peaq SUV
At approximately 4.9 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2,965mm, the Peaq significantly exceeds the dimensions of the existing Enyaq. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the vehicle is designed to accommodate seven adults while maintaining a versatile storage profile. With the third-row seats in place, the boot offers 299 liters of capacity, which expands to 890 liters when folded, further supplemented by a 37-liter front trunk. According to Driven Car Guide, this spatial efficiency is central to the brand’s strategy to capture the family SUV market.
Performance and Charging Capabilities
The Peaq will launch with three powertrain variants—designated as the 60, 90, and 90x—offering power outputs ranging from 150kW to 220kW. The long-range 90 and 90x models are capable of exceeding 600 kilometers on a single charge. Charging efficiency remains a priority, with the vehicle supporting DC fast charging that allows a 10 to 80 percent battery recovery in under 30 minutes. Notably, the SUV features bidirectional charging, including vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) capabilities, allowing the vehicle to function as a mobile power source for external devices or residential buildings, as reported by Yahoo Autos.
Premium Cabin Tech and ‘Simply Clever’ Features
The interior introduces a suite of new technologies for the brand, including a 13.6-inch vertical infotainment display and an optional augmented-reality head-up display. Skoda has emphasized sustainability, offering interior packages that incorporate over 50kg of recycled materials and high-quality leather alternatives like Techtona. The ‘Relax Package’ adds a premium Sonos audio system and AGR-certified massage seats, while the electrochromic panoramic sunroof allows occupants to adjust light transmission across nine segments. These additions are paired with traditional ‘Simply Clever’ features, such as integrated wiper washers and a dual wireless phone charging box.
The Peaq represents a pivot for Skoda, shifting from a brand focused on entry-level practicality to a premium-adjacent manufacturer that leverages its massive interior volume and bidirectional power capabilities to compete directly against global electric SUV leaders.
