  • Walmart's 'Bricktember' sale includes discounts on September 1 releases.
  • The sale page is disorganized, mixing full-price and discounted items.
  • Some prices are hidden until checkout via a 'see price in cart' feature.
  • Shoppers are advised to compare prices against official LEGO Store MSRPs.
Walmart has officially kicked off its annual “Bricktember” promotional event, offering a wide range of discounts on LEGO sets to coincide with the Labor Day holiday period. As reported by IGN, while the promotion includes significant markdowns on both legacy and newly released items, the retailer’s dedicated sale landing page has drawn criticism for its disorganized presentation, which complicates price comparison for consumers.

According to IGN commerce editor Chris Reed, the sale page currently displays a mix of discounted and full-priced items. Furthermore, some products utilize a “see price in cart” mechanism, obscuring the actual savings until the final stage of the checkout process. This inconsistency makes it difficult for shoppers to immediately identify which sets offer genuine value compared to the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) listed on the official LEGO Store.

A notable highlight of this year’s event is the inclusion of sets that were released just days ago, on September 1. Among the items currently seeing price adjustments are the complete 2026 lineup of LEGO advent calendars and the “Mayor Manor” set. The latter marks the debut of the “Midnight Valley Collection,” a new series characterized by distinct, off-angle architectural designs and glow-in-the-dark minifigures. Additionally, recent releases from the Olivia Rodrigo collaborative line are also included in the promotion.

To ensure consumers receive the best value, experts recommend cross-referencing any Walmart listing against the official LEGO Store MSRP before finalizing a purchase. By manually verifying these prices, shoppers can avoid potential pitfalls in the retailer’s current catalog layout.
