KYIV (Azat TV) – Special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, may make their first-ever visit to Kyiv shortly after Orthodox Easter, which is being celebrated on April 12, according to Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of Ukraine’s Presidential Office. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham could also be part of the delegation, Budanov stated in remarks to Bloomberg.
Potential Kyiv Delegation Details
Budanov identified Witkoff, Kushner, and Graham as the individuals expected to participate in the potential trip. “Kushner, Witkoff, Lindsey Graham — those are the ones expected to come. Who else will be there — we’ll see,” Budanov told Bloomberg. While Witkoff and Kushner have engaged in multiple meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, including a session at the Kremlin on January 22, this proposed visit would represent their initial engagement with Ukrainian leadership in Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had previously extended invitations to them.
US Confirmation and Unconfirmed Status
A U.S. official confirmed to Bloomberg that a potential trip by Witkoff and Kushner to Ukraine is currently under discussion. However, the official stressed that the visit has not yet been officially confirmed. The potential delegation’s itinerary and composition remain subject to finalization.
