Two lottery players recently claimed a combined total of $177,080 in prizes after purchasing nine winning Play 4 tickets from the same retail location in West Hartford, Connecticut. According to the Connecticut Lottery, the winning tickets were sold at Sam’s Food Store, located at 1149 New Britain Avenue.

A West Hartford resident secured the majority of the winnings, claiming $127,080 across seven individual tickets. This haul consisted of three tickets valued at $25,000 each and four tickets worth $13,020 each. A second winner, a resident of Ludlow, Massachusetts, claimed $50,000 from two winning Play 4 tickets, each worth $25,000.

The Play 4 game requires players to select four numbers for drawings held twice daily. According to state lottery data, the odds of winning the $25,000 or $13,020 prize tiers are approximately 1 in 10,000. Wagers for the game start at $0.50, with options to increase stakes or add a “Wild Ball” feature, which doubles the ticket cost.
